Porsche Carrera GT
It's the most exciting, the most expensive, the best looking and the fastest street legal Porsche ever made. This is incredible - GT has the carbon fibre brake discs and two-plate ceramic composites clutch! For better speed performance "GT" makers chose carbon for monocoque and body structure. With a length of 4623 mm, a width of 1930 mm, a height of 1168 mm and a wheelbase of 2730 mm "GT" weights 1380 kg. The "Carrera GT" is $444,000 (the price in euros is 390,000) and owning such a supercar is every Porsche lover dream. Total of 1,270 "GTs" were produced over the year 2004-2006. Fayence Yellow, Basalt Black, Guards Red, GT Silver and Seal Grey that is the 5 basic Porsche Carrera GT color paint schemes.
Take a deep breath, because now we will take a look inside the engine. With the intention of ensuring more power and reliability Porsche engineers equipped "GT" with a 5.7 V10 engine (originally designed for a racing) which weights 205 kg (452 lbs). The "GT" engine has been composed using a light alloy crankcase and titanium connecting rods what determines reduced mass. This incredibly furious masterpiece has 612 break horse power able to accelerate 0-100 km/h in less than 4 seconds and has a maximum speed of 330 km/h. The intake system is equipped with Porsche's VarioCam technology. 2-door Porsche Carrera GT roadster is equipped with 6-speed manual gearbox, mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout, which is widely spread among Formula racing cars. The other supercars having RMR layout are Porsche 911 GT1, some Ferraris, Koenigsegg CCX, Saleen S7 and much more. The 15 inch ceramic pad brakes look like a million dollars underneath the 19 inch front (265/35) and 20 inch rear (335/30) Michelin tires, which were specially made for Carrera GT. Porsche Carrera GT's characteristics sets me thinking that it cannot be road going car - it is so reminding of a genuine racecar.
